It appears in Trotwood Ohio, that another black woman was tasered by the police. How many times do we have to hear these stories before something is done to make sure law enforcement agents are properly trained. I don't mean properly trained to restrain people, but properly trained to follow the procedures they learned at the Academy. The excuse was they did not "know" the woman was pregnant. Would that had made it better? Do we need to have the show "Cops" follow these officers around to guarantee the safety of of people who police are quick to react on? Sad, that is all I can say.

Rodney King -In the News Again

Well Rodney King is making headlines again, Yesterday evening King reported to Rialto Police Department that he had been shot at. It appears while he was traveling on his bicycle in the San Bernardino area that someone alledgely shot at him with what appears to be bird shot.

King needs to just stay out the news. Poor guy if he sneezes it is going to make headlines.

Update on Sean Taylor-Died from Gunshot Wound

Sean Taylor died earlier today from his gunshot wound. Richard Sharpstein, Taylor's lawyer, told the Miami Herald that the Pro Bowl player was shot yesterday after confronting burglars.
What a tragedy. Sympathy to his family.

Marion Jones-700k Pay Back

Marion might have to sell quite a few assets (if she has any left). She currently owes $700k in Pay back money. So not only does she have a two year ban imposed on her, she has to come up with $700 dollars, estimated as prize money to return to the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federation). This is not really shocking to me. If the reported story below is true, Beyonce has done what many stars have done for years. I remember growing up thinking Michael Jackson was 9 when first hit with "I Want You Back." Years later we found out he was actually 12. Young artist sell records quicker then older artist. FBI report on Hate Crimes

Just three days after a Washington, D.C., march calling for the U.S. Justice Department to do more in addressing hate crimes and racial injustice in America, the FBI on Monday released a report showing that hate crime incidents rose nearly 8 percent last year.

More than half of those crimes were motivated by racial prejudice, the report stated.

Police across the nation reported 7,722 criminal incidents in 2006 targeting victims or property as a result of bias against a race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnic or national origin or physical or mental disability. That was up 7.8 percent from 7,163 incidents reported in 2005.

We need to stop the madness. We have to live on this earth together. You ever put toddlers in a sandbox, all ethinic groups, shapes, sizes, with lots of toys. What do they do? They play. If they have fights, it is about possession. Not about skin color, eye color, religious affliation, political affliation, ect.

• More allegations are surfacing against Dr Jan Adams, who said Monday that he performed a tummy tuck and breast reduction on Dr. West one day before she stopped breathing on Saturday, but denies doing anything wrong to cause her death.

  Court documents were discovered showing that Adams' estranged wife filed for a domestic violence restraining order against him a year ago following a situation on Thanksgiving.

Barry Bonds Indicted on Perjury Charges

Well, Barry Bonds just can't seem to get himself out the news. This time not for his hitting ability. Today a federal grand jury indicted Barry Bonds on perjury charges and obstruction of justice. They also accused him of testing positive for performance-enhancing steroids.

"During the criminal investigation, evidence was obtained including positive tests for the presence of anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing substances for Bonds and other professional athletes," the indictment said.

Perjury convictions carry possible prison terms of up to five years, while obstruction of justice can bring a 10-year sentence.

Is "Duane" Dawg Bounty Hunter Racist?

I took some time before I commented on Bounty Hunters news. I am not and advocate of the N-word, however I see the hypocrisy with how the media treats who says it. (okay before people start hitting next and throwing stuff at their screen) I see that so many people are now having to worry about everything they say. We talk about free speech, but that actually is not true.

I feel that Duane Chapman is someone who is uneducated about black history and sensitivity. He is not going after Caucasian people, he is going after minorities on the island. He was under fire because he directed his racist slurs at his son Tucker's girlfriend, Monique Shinnery, who is black. Just as Don Imus gains a new show, Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman finds himself in danger of losing his.

King of Pop losing Neverland

As of October 12, Jackson owed 23.2 million dollars (11 million pounds, 15.8 million euros) on a 23 million dollar loan he took out in March 2006, according to a foreclosure and notice of default report posted online by the California branch of Fidelity National Financial insurance company.

According to the document, which was first revealed late Tuesday by celebrity website TMZ.com, Jackson put up Neverland as collateral for the loan. Jackson spokesman Raymone Bain had no comment when contacted by AFP.

Default notices in California are usually issued when a homeowner misses their third payment, the website said.

South African Police Make Arrest At Oprah School

Well, an arrest has been made at the Oprah Winfrey School for the disadvantage girls in South Africa. Several charges including indecent assault, soliciting girls underage to perform indecent acts and abuse had been submitted.

I commend Oprah for organizing her own team of investigators to look into the allegations. This not only speeded up the process but let the girls know that she indeed cared. It is reported she has given the girls their own cell phones, with her personal number to contact her if they feel they are being victimized. Their is not a high fence around the facility as well.

In Houston, this past week Roby Morris knew that not everyone shares his sense of humor. He created an 8 page booklet which he handed to his fellow police officers at a May roll call. He told them it would help them speak as if they "came out of the hood." It had a subtitle of "Wucha dun did now." He called it a "Ghetto Translation book".

The 34 year old Morris had worked as a gang investigator at the Houston Independent School district for 11 years. This week he was fired.

He was quoted as say, "Morris told investigators he made the booklet to get back at one of his bosses. He also pointed out he is married to a black woman and that they have three children together, according to the report."

T-Pain- turns himself in

Officers observed T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Najm, driving a Lamborghini Gallardo in June. At the time, his driver's license had been revoked for being a habitual traffic violator, officials reported.

The 23-year-old Tallahassee native turned himself in at the Leon County jail and was later released. He was to perform Sunday at the Tallahassee Civic Center.

Arrest Made in Oprah School Scandal

Two weeks after the talk-show maven hightailed it to her eponymous Leadership Academy for Girls amid accusations of employee abuse toward students, a former dormitory matron at the school has been formally arrested by South African police.

Police Superintendent Lunge Dlamini said that a 27-year-old woman, who had been working in the residence halls of the all-girl school, was arrested Thursday after seven students submitted statements alleging assault and various abuse at the hands of the employee.

Martin Lee Anderson

On October 12, seven former prison guards; Henry Dickens, Patrick Garrett, Raymond Hauck, Charles Efinger, Charles Helms Jr., Henry McFadden Jr., Joseph Walsh, and nurse Kristin Schmidt all faced 30 years for Aggravated Manslaughter relating to the death of a young African American, 14-year-old Martin Lee Anderson at the Panama City Boot Camp in Florida. All were declared not guilty by an all-white jury after 90 minutes of deliberation.

Below is the video of this beating. (Warning:- It is very graphic, there is first video has no audio, the second video shows the verdict) What I don't understand is how people can just stand around and watch this poor boy get beaten like this. It doesn't matter what ethnicity he or she is.

Carlos Santana-divorce

Carlos Santana and his wife of 34 years are divorcing, according to court documents.

Deborah Santana, who in her 2005 memoir "Space Between the Stars" described her guitarist husband as being unfaithful, filed for divorce in Marin County Superior Court on Oct. 19, citing irreconcilable differences.

Carlos Santana's publicist, Michael Jensen, said the case is "a private matter and there is no comment."

The musician has said he knew he made mistakes in his marriage.

"I sincerely apologized to her and to my kids when I wasn't in my right mind and did something hurtful," Carlos Santana said after the memoir was published. "It has helped me become more humble and to try harder to be the man she wants me to be."

Pull Your Pants Up-Unless you are gay

This is the recent statements stated by Dallas Deputy Mayor, Dwaine Caraway.

The Dallas mayor's office, the city's fashion police and a gospel rapper have launched a campaign that they're hoping will catch on nationwide, letting young Black men know that exposing their butts is not manly.

The campaign, which was the brainchild of Dallas Deputy Mayor Dwaine Caraway, tells BET.com that putting a stop to the bare-your-britches fashion has been on his radar for a while.

“It's disrespect that has been brought about in Dallas and across the county," Caraway said, noting that he had just seen an elderly woman walk into a pharmacy while a "young thug" was showing his "filthy britches."

"It's a major problem. Who is going to hire them," he asked. "Is BET going to hire them? Is the bank going to hire them? Is McDonald's going to hire them? 'No!'”

Caraway told BET.com that he wasn't going to point the finger of blame at any particular group for the “tired” fashion, because these days, even parents are saggin’.

"This is not just a teenage problem. There are people sagging ... in their 30s. Where's your mind? You're not a teenager," said Caraway.

So how does a city government go about getting young Black men to rethink their fashion decisions?
