Television Distribution has announced that "The Montel Williams Show" will cease production after this television season, his 17th on the air. One thing that people liked about Montel is the fact that he was very personal. We have had talk show host come and go, but Montel and Oprah have hung in there. I remember when he did a show where everyone but a handful of guest walked out the studio audience. I believe it might of been a show on incest.
Montel has tackled almost every subject out there. he has conducted interviews in federal prisons and has been on the scene of recent American tragedies such as Ground Zero after 9/11 and throughout the Gulf Coast after hurricane Katrina. He will be missed.
It is because of his honesty and openess why he is losing his show. Many people feel it was because of his recent rant on Fox and Friend, where he admonished the newscasters for spending so much time on the death of Heath Ledger and Britney Spears while Soldiers were dying daily in Iraq. (and of course he was right...it was a ridiculous media blitz ).
Approximately 4 days after this rant he was given notice. It seems media moguls can't
"handle the truth."

I was pretty much done with Montel after hosting a psychic on his show every week. he fell off, and so did I...it was boring...to me.
