On Wednesday Eddie Bauer Holdings Inc, filed Chapter 11 (bankruptcy protection). I have to admit I am not a fan of Eddie Bauers. I remember years ago when they discriminated again the black community. (Eddie Bauer Lawsuit). I had stopped buying their products. I am like and elephant and I haven't forgotten.
I am however sad (in these troubling times) for the people who have to worry about their jobs.
It seems they plan to sell their assets to an affiliate of private-equity firm CCMP Capital Advisors LLC or a higher bidder at auction. Read the Daily Bankruptcy Review story here.
