Jena 6 Celebrities?

Why does this picture bother me? Above is Bryant Purvis and Carwin Jones at the BET Hip Hop Awards. A few months ago they were in jail fighting for their lives. There has been question as to what they did with all the money raised. Looking at the before and after clothes pictures I am beginning to wonder myself.

The Children's attorney, "Louis Levenson," stated, "There was sporadic indication that Mr. Brown intended to benefit some charities, but the circumstances surrounding the making of these documents have always been clouded in mystery,"

Forbes reported Brown made an estimated $5 million in 2005 alone. But attorneys have said Brown's accounts do not have the money they expected.

Well it looks like Rapper Remy Ma is having some, "issues" again. This time she is being sued for 20 million dollars by the woman she is said to have shot over money. As many many remember Makeda Barnes Joseph was shot in her abdomen twice back in July.

The lawsuit says the shooting left her disabled, anxious and depressed. The suit also named as defendants Universal Music Group, and individuals who play important roles in Remy Ma's career, because they should have known she "had a history of unlawful, violent and anti-social behavior."

MIchael Vick-Pled Guilty

ATLANTA, Georgia (AFP) The National Football League has slapped five members of the Atlanta Falcons with fines for showing support for their disgraced quarterback Michael Vick, American media reported Tuesday.

It is so important who you pick as your friends. I tell you what if my friends were guilty of doing something wrong. I surely would not be standing behind them (if they were obviously guilty). Sometimes we don't know our friends as much as we think we do.
Vick was sentenced to 23 months in jail on federal dogfighting charges the morning of Atlanta's December 10 game against the New Orleans Saints. If convicted, Vick could face a total of up to six years in prison and $350,000 in fines. He could face additional discipline by the NFL, even if he is not convicted.

To make matters worse, Peta has featured Vick in their holiday card section.

You put Michael in the Snow Globe and use the mouse to shake it. Wow, just in time for Christmas fun.

Man Rapes 10 month old baby

You know after seeing and hearing about so many crimes perpetrated against children in the world you sometimes become numb and even desensitized to the news. I just found this story on YouTube, while I was checking out one of my subscriptions. I read this story and felt the bile coming up in my throat.

I tried to cry, but I couldn't. I remember when the world was horrified at the atrocities that Jeffrey Dhamer did. This man is worse then that, he is a monster. How can one rape, sodomize, a young baby. That baby did not even live one year on this earth. This is the full story.
RIP in peace Da'Niyah Marie Jackson . God has called home one of his angels.

Bernadine Wade/Fox News

Some of us have children or know of children who have to use the school bus. The fact that a 7 year old girl was getting sexually assaulted for 2 years on a school bus and the bus drives said he knew nothing about it is a travesty. Having a disabled child who rides the bus, this story really touched my heart.

I found the story on myspace from the older sister of the little girl.

Here is the story.

Below is a letter from her sister to anyone who can help.

"Friends,
My adopted little sister experienced something horrible a couple of years back on a school bus. She was repeatedly raped by an older student, he was 16, she was 7. Our case has now just went public since we have fought for years in silence. I need calls, letters, emails and your prayers, for justice concerning a little girl named Sha'praise Wade B.K.A "Nee Nee".

My mother conducted an interview with Fox News concerning my adopted little sister pending case, last week. I truly believe God is just and fair and the emotional and psychological trauma that she has experienced will be vindicated.

We will be traveling to Columbus in the next few weeks to request a law to protect ALL children on school buses not only in OHIO but throughout the Nation.

Please forward this to anyone you know that won't mind praying for a family in need. We also need you to write the powers that be to help us win this case against the Jackson City School Dist.

Here is her Website if you would like to help. We need to get the media involved

Veda's Website

PLEASE PASS THIS ON, THE CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE AND THEY SOMETIMES SUFFER IN SILENCE.

Mychal Bell Close to Plea

Mychal Bell, the 17 year old accused of beating a white classmate, and leading to one of the largest civil rights protest (since the 50's) is close to a deal. This would bring his felony charge down to a misdemeanor and possibly have him avoid a second trial.

It is coming on a one year anniversary from the attack and the noose found hanging on the tree.

Bell was scheduled for a Thursday trial in juvenile court but if negotiations are successful, he could enter a plea as early as Monday afternoon, Powell Lexing said

No one is condoning what Mychal Bell has done, what is being questioned is the equality of the sentence.

Okay, Imus is back. Imus is back, however sadly I don't think it will be the Imus we know. He will probably be like a guy that came out of "the hole" in Prison. He now has to acclimate himself back in the radio world. The morning show will be simulcast on cable's RFD-TV, owned by the Rural Media Group Inc., and rebroadcast on radio in the evenings.

Aids Rising in the Black Community-World Aids Day

http://www.unaids.org/Resources/UNAIDS/images/feature/stop_aids_wac_1.jpg

Today
is World Aids Awareness Day. This is a day of awareness, Celebration and hope. In recognition of this I am writing today about something that is not often discussed in the black community, that is the increases of the Aids Virus in Black America. This has long been considered a gay white man disease, a disease that only affects men. These are misconceptions that have been stated for the last 20 years since the disease first surfaced. In the 1980's when the epidemic first swept our Nation an estimated 60 percent of around 200,000 HIV infections reported were White Males. The gay community mobilized, however, promoting condom use and early detection to combat the spread of the disease. Their efforts have been quite successful,

However today, with rise of intravenous drug use and the clandestine escapades of "double-dipping" bisexual men for the disproportionately high incidence of HIV infections in the Black community, particularly among Black women. The sharing of dirty needles does account for up to 35 percent of the nation's HIV infections, according to the CDC. And HIV-infected men who have unprotected sex with both men and women (on the downlow syndrome).

The latter group falls in the highest risk group. We have many heterosexual woman who have become "mules." They carry this disease and are not aware they are infected. They are an especially high risk group of heterosexual black women who have been infected by a partner, who may not even know he is carrying the virus.

Whatever the cause, the solutions are clear, We need to spread awareness in the communities, especially about prevention. The aids victims are getting younger and younger. Especially with children being born with the disease. We need a lot of healing and support in the black community. I know this is "WORLD AIDS DAY." however we need to start the knowledge here at home first. We need to put aside the pride, the covering up and recognize that aside from black on black crime that Aids is heading the list for the Genocide of our community.
