Crystle Stewart, of Missouri City, Texas was crowned Miss USA 2008 on friday. She edged out first runner-up Leah Laviano of Mississippi and Tiffany Andrade of New Jersey. Miss USA 2007 Rachel Smith relinquished the crown. Congratulations Crystle.

I watched the end, and I was a little surprised. I know Texans often win, but they are generally tall blonds, so this was a break from the norm. I am proud to be a Texan, the face of Texas is even changing.
