O.J. fails to win new trial

On Friday, O.J. Simpson tried (unsuccessfully) to get a new trial. OJ Simpson failed to win a new trial from the today from the judge (Jackie Glass) who oversaw his conviction in the gunpoint robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel room. She stated The Judge, Jackie Glass, said the issues raised by lawyers for Simpson and co-defendant Clarence Stewart were insufficient grounds for a retrial.

I can't understand why he is looking for a new trial. I mean I heard the tapes. The jury heard the evidence, they made their decision, what is there to review. Sad.

Dr Phil sued by Simpson's Memorabilia Dealer

Will this story never die, good grief! Well, now it appears the memorabilia dealer (Thomas Riccio) who led O.J. Simpson to a hotel room where an infamous robbery occurred filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the "Dr. Phil" show claiming his remarks in an interview were spliced to change their meaning.



Riccio, said that during the show, McGraw falsely claimed that Riccio "set O.J. Simpson up and told people to bring guns into the room."

I mean let justice take its toll. The man was tried, sentenced. Why try get blood from a turnip?

Will O.J. Make it in Prison?

O.J's downfall was that so many people felt he got away with murder. The fact the verdict came13 years after his now notorious murder trial does not escape me. Now why he would not in those 13 years have remained quiet and sedate and just lived out life, escapes me

Simpson's well-publicized legal troubles since then, were even more influential in the guilty verdict than the racial makeup of the jury, said John Momot, a well-known Las Vegas-based criminal defense attorney who represented Sandy Murphy in the high-profile Ted Binion murder trial.

The fact is 5 of the twelve jurors wrote that they disagreed with the 1995 acquittal.

"I think he did it -- but I wasn't there to hear the case so I really can't say," wrote Sherian Sue Eckart, a juror who works as a teller handling money transactions.

"I don't believe the jury considered the facts," wrote juror Ruth Ann Horschmann, who works for a small adoption agency.

So the question is with Simpson and his co-defendant, Clarence Stewart convicted on all 12 counts, will he make it in the prison system. Here is a man who is used to the "finer" things in life. He is in his early 60's, and he is a high profile prisoner. Somehow I think O.J. will be just fine in prison. He still has the money that will make prison life okay.

What in the world Pearl? See I got caught up in all this politics and so much news was going on. Now apparently Sunday (according to AP NEWS) Arnelle Simpson , 39, called 911 in a fit of guilt after she toppled her 61-year-old Dad, this past Sunday,giving him a minor head injury. I am convinced that whole family got issues.

Arnelle was furious with O.J. for dishing out money to Prody, 32, (his current girlfriend) while his high school sweetheart - Arnelle's mom, Marguerite Whitley - has to work at WalMart to make ends meet.

Arnelle also lashed out at OJ for "ditching" Whitley to marry Nicole Brown Simpson, the Enquirer reported. O.J. was acquitted of Nicole's murder in 1995. Two years later, a civil jury found him "responsible" for the killing.

I hope that family can get some counseling. All I can say Arnelle (if daddy presses charges is), if no one saw the HIT ...we got to acquit.

Dang O.J. ....

Well, O.J. (bless his heart) can't stay out the news huh? Simpson was freed on September 19 on 125,000 dollars bail . This following his arrest after he and his friends burst into a Las Vegas hotel room and robbing two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint. Now O.J. Simpson is to face a judge next week to answer allegations that he broke the terms of his bail.

Apparently Simpson called on on his co-defendants in the case. This is in contravention of his bail conditions. He called, "Clarence Stewart," and was frustrated by some of his testimony at the preliminaries.

He and the two other men are scheduled to stand trial on April 7. If I was O.J. (an had the opportunity to be out on bail), I would make the court even forget I exist until it is time to stand charges. Unfortunately, that is not O.J. So yesterday he gets arrested. Johnny Cochran just rolling around in his grave.
