Black Student Tied Up and Urinated On

I just read this newstory and was of course shocked (though I don't know why I should be). It appears David B. Endsley aand Issac Clark of Waterville, Kansas (both 19 years of age), took the victim and spray painted his legs and arms white then proceeded to urinate on him at his May 7th high school graduation party.


U.S. Attorney Eric Melgren said the men admitted that they tried to drive the victim from the area because of his race. The victim was identified only by the initials, J.L

What is sad is so many people believe that racial discrimination is gone. The sad fact is that many people pass this ignorance down to their children. Children are not born with a knowledge of hate. It is a learned behavior.

Walgreens Racial Settlement Approved

A federal judge has signed off on Walgreen plan to pay $24 million to settle a federal lawsuit alleging racial bias at the nation's largest drugstore chain. This settlement resolves the past lawsuit with about 10,000 past and present black Walgreen workers. They will split 20 million dollars.

The attorneys involved in the case will share the difference, in fees separate from the settlement amount.

Walgreen said it has 230,000 workers in its 6,237 stores in 49 states and Puerto Rico.
