Well, the "material girl" is at it again. She is going back to Malawi, this time to possibly adopt a daughter.
We are expected to be in court on Monday to file for a possible adoption," her lawyer, Alan Chinula, said Thursday.
Under Malawi law, adoptions are typically off-limits to single or divorced parents. Madonna is both; her 12-year-old daughter, Lourdes, was born when the superstar singer was unmarried, and she split from British director Guy Ritchie last year.
It is like going to African countries and adopting children has become a recreational sport for some celebrities. I guess they feel they are "saving" them from this horrid life of poverty and hopelessness. I know money will surely not be an issue, but I wonder about the support that these kids have coming into a strange country and being separated for people they know.
Any thoughts?

Madonna-On BET

Well, it took over 20 something years, but Madonna has made it to BET. Anyone remember her first big hit "holiday," where she did no appear on the album cover? She will be a guest on 106th and Park. Madonna has been a mainstay in the black community for quite awhile. Madonna debuted six new songs from her upcoming album Hard Candy last night (April 30) at the Roseland Ballroom, where she was joined on stage by Justin Timberlake.
"I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have been able to make a record with him [Timberlake], Timbaland, Pharrell [and] Kanye," Madonna told the crowd.
I feel even though many artist do no embrace hip hop, they sure use them to bring back life to dead careers.
