These are probably the words that Christine Beatty is whispering in Kwame Kilpatrick's ear. Christine Beatty( chief of staff for former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick), pleaded guilty Monday to charges stemming from their text-messaging sex scandal case and will serve four months in jail, according to the Wayne County prosecutor's office.

She will begin serving her jail sentence on January 5, when she will be formally sentenced.
Kilpatrick right now is serving his sentence in the Wayne County Jail. I wonder if they are still going to "Hook Up" when he gets out. You know stranger things have happened. In addition to his jail and probation sentence, Kilpatrick must also pay the city of Detroit $1 million in restitution, and forfeit any future pension.
Neither one of them have shown any real remorse for their actions.
Hopefully this will put Detroit back on track. In a city riddled with crime and crooked politicians the people need a break. Kenneth V. Cockrel Jr., a former City Council president, was sworn in as Detroit’s 61st mayor Friday, a job thrust upon him after Kwame M. Kilpatrick resigned after pleading guilty to obstruction of justice. After eight months of defiantly insisting he would be vindicated, Mr. Kilpatrick quit amid evidence that he had spent about $10 million in city funds largely to hide an extramarital affair with his chief of staff, who quickly resigned when text messages from her pager became known.
Well Kwame crime doesn't pay bro. Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has pleaded guilty, ending a nearly eight month drama that has transfixed the city and the nation. He has stopped a lot of the city business and halted his own political career that once held such promise.
The mayor will turn over his state pension to the City of Detroit, which paid $8.4 million to settle two whistle-blower lawsuits three former cops filed against the city. I don't know why he just did not plead guilty before he put his city through all this heartache. I also feel if he is indicted so should this "mistress" who was in on the lying as well.
He should of done he honorable thing and resigned before hand because he knew he lied.
First off I believe a person in the Mayor Kwame Kilpatricks's position should be big enough to admit that he did something wrong instead of trying to cover things. Kilpatrick apologized to 36th District Court Judge Ronald Giles Thursday, for the unauthorized trip he made to nearby Windsor, Canada, and said, "I ran in, I made a presentation . . . and I ran back."
Kilpatrick violated the conditions of his bond in a perjury case by going to Canada for a business meeting without clearing the trip with the court. Some are calling for Detroit''s Mayor to resign. Okay, say he does...then will his replacement be any better?
This ruling, which stunned both critics and allies of the mayor, follows months of the mayor's defiant attitude toward his legal problems, and frequent calls by residents and City Council members for him to leave office.
The City Council more views this as an embarrassment more then anything else. To make matters worse, today Michigan's Attorney General Mike Cox is expected to announce that he is charging Kilpatrick with assaulting an officer in July as he tried to serve court papers on one of Kilpatrick’s best friends.
