T.I. on His "last" Road to Redemption- The Big House

Okay MTV can stop milking this story now. For months viewers have followed Clifford Harris through his daily routine, while awaiting his incarceration. He was sentenced to a year and a day in prison on Friday for illegally possessing machine guns and silencers, as prosecutors lauded his anti-violence advocacy since his arrest.

He originally faced up to 20 years. He performed his community service publicly. T.I.'s Road to Redemption" show has actually helped a lot of youth in the Atlanta area. He posted $3 million bail after his arrest.

Many people say he got a "cushy" deal. Well, most celebrities get, "cushy" deals, T.I. is not the first and won't be the last.

T.I. Preparing Himself for Jail Term

Time flies is an understatement. I bet T.I. is wishing it didn't. T.I.'s one year jail sentence is creeping up rather quickly. However, since his sentence was handed down, the rapper has been putting in work with the little time he has left.

His song "papertrail" has been a mega success. His jail term is March for felony weapons charges . He is planning for his family and other plans before he transitions into incarceration.

Kwame Kilpatrick to Serve Jail Time

Well Kwame crime doesn't pay bro. Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has pleaded guilty, ending a nearly eight month drama that has transfixed the city and the nation. He has stopped a lot of the city business and halted his own political career that once held such promise.

The mayor will turn over his state pension to the City of Detroit, which paid $8.4 million to settle two whistle-blower lawsuits three former cops filed against the city. I don't know why he just did not plead guilty before he put his city through all this heartache. I also feel if he is indicted so should this "mistress" who was in on the lying as well.

He should of done he honorable thing and resigned before hand because he knew he lied.

San Francisco-Few Black Residents,More in Jails

San Francisco well known for its diversity San Francisco's population of African American residents has decreased in recent years, the population of black men and women locked up in the San Francisco County Jail has increased dramatically, Sheriff Michael Hennessey said Monday.

Hennessey said the criminal justice system and the war on drugs are "disproportionately adversely affecting San Francisco's African American community."

Man who spent 24yrs in Jail, compensated 1.2 million dollars

Alan Crotzer, the man who spent 24 years in jail for a rape he didn’t commit, will finally get what’s coming to him. The Florida Senate voted Thursday to pay him $1.25 million in compensation.

He was originally convicted in 1982, and had to wait until 2006 for DNA evidence to clear his name. Crotzer is also eligible for a free state education - something he says he plans to take advantage of.

Remy Ma

Rapper Remy Ma was yesterday convicted on four charges of assault by a Manhattan Supreme Court grand jury. Remy has been in trial since March 10 for shooting her childhood friend, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, in July 2007 over a $3000 dispute. Barnes-Joseph spent three weeks in the hospital after being shot and it left her with two gunshot wounds to the abdomen. Reports indicate that the victim had three separate surgeries to repair the damage. Remy Ma faces up to 25 years in prison.
