Rihanna- enough already

My girlfriend sent me the link to Rihanna's picture (the one which was allegedly showing her face beaten). I sent it back to her with the (the email), link unopened. I told her I am NOT going to contribute to the "yellow journalism" that TMZ or any of these other sites are doing by showing her face.

I asked her did she "contribute" to a "domestic violence" victim's fund after viewing that image? Of course she didn't reply. I know she is pissed off at me. Well, it wasn't the first time and it won't be the last.

Almost every magazine had this woman's image on their front cover. Now, these magazines are distributed internationally, no wonder we have all these other countries thinking that we are a group of "pop fan" obsessed folks. News of the new stimulus package in the middle page, Rihanna on the front.

Don't get me wrong it is not that I am not sympathetic for Rihanna. It is that I am not sympathetic from the people who are using her for their own monetary gains. What next T-shirts with her image on the front as the poster child for "Domestic Violence?"

Chris Brown and many people with his anger issues need help. I think of the many women and men who have been victims of domestic violence that don't have this kind of publicity, that get lost in the paperwork shuffle at the police station (if it indeed ever gets reported).

So no, I will not buy any of those "rag" magazines or even acknowledge the low TMZ journalist that would sell their mother for a story. I think it is sad and pathetic.

My prayers go out to Rihanna and Chris Brown, that both of them can get the counseling and help their need.

Just Stand Up For Cancer

I am surprised I did not hear a lot about this event. I think it is a good cause, so many times we hear so many negative things about entertainers, and good things are on the "back" page of newspapers. I guess the old adage that drama sells is the truth.

The single was released on August 29th. Just Stand Up!" is a song featuring the vocals of an all-star group of pop/R&B/rock performers, including Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, NICOLE SCHERZINGER, Natasha Bedingfield, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood, Keyshia Cole, LeAnn Rimes, Ashanti and Ciara.

American song-writer and producer Antonio "L.A."Reid conceived the collaboration after a meeting with the founder of Stand Up to Cancer, which will benefit from the proceeds of the record. Reid co-produced the track with American singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, and the single was released on August 29, 2008.

Rihanna-Rumored House Hunting

Rihanna has Rihanna - who has been seen house hunting in Los Angeles with rumoured byfriend Chris Brown. Recently she was honored in her home country, Barbados. (earlier this year). They even declared that day, "Rihanna Day."

The singer flew back to Barbados to perform a free concert and accept the honour, which took place the day after her 20th birthday in February.

When is she gonna admit she is "dating" Chris Brown. It is like Beyonce, even now she has not admitted to getting married. I guess when she has the "imaginary" baby she won't admit to being pregnant either.

Rihanna and Chris Brown? Are they engaged?

You know I wouldn't be surprised if they are already married. Lets face it we can't trust any of the artist or entertainers out there. I understand the privacy issue, but the lying issue I can't get with. If you engaged so what? If you married so what?

See the issue is they want to continue being this "sex symbol" while daring to have a private life. I know some married stars that to me are sexy as HAIL! It doesn't stop me from licking my lips when I view them.

I mean come on Rihanna, you get photographed hugging, kissing, smooching, and dang near having intercourse in a pool in Jamaica, but still you say, "we are just friends." I don't have friends like that.

Rihanna and Chris Brown?

R&B stars Rihanna and Chris Brown have fuelled reports they are secretly dating, after they were snapped frolicking together on vacation in Jamaica. This has been on ongoing rumor for awhile now. Many folks thought Rihanna was going to be kicking it with Neyo (especially after that sexy video, Hate I Love You.)

Now, she is reportedly dating Chris Brown. I know they did Smile Jamaica thing last month, but sometimes the media is quick to put any celebrity seen together as an item. I wonder how Jay Z feels about this because there was really some mess backstage at the Grammys because she thanked him.

What is he like 18? and she is 25? I think if she is with him, it is just this fun thing. See that is the blessing for not being in the public eye, you don't have to worry about folks all in your business.

Rihanna looking for a Blood Donor

The 20-year-old singer is working with DKMS, an international donor network based in Tubingen, Germany, to try to find a donor for Lisa Gershowitz Flynn. Flynn is a 41-year-old mother of two young children. She was diagnosed in November with acute myelogenous leukemia, a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Doctors have told her she has four to six weeks to find a suitable donor.
