Whitney Houston Interview on Oprah

I liked the interview. I think we as a community need to uplift each other, instead of bringing each other down. Whitney has to do what she has to do in order to move forward. Her mother tried everything to save her. I think Bobby was an enabler. Whitney was into drugs before Bobby. However when you get with someone who is going to bring you down further then it just gets worse.

Whitney's worse move was doing that "reality show," "Being Bobby Brown." Having cameras in your life 24/7 can be hard on any family. It did show another side of Whitney to me. This is a talented woman, such a wonderful voice. I wish her well on her comeback trail

Whitney Houston's Comeback

http://jasonsbrew.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/whitney_houston_daughter_bobbi.jpg

This is a trailer from and interview that Oprah Winfrey will have Monday with Whitney Houston. I am happy for Whitney. She is such a wonderful talent. I think sometimes we have to go through some things to get to where we have to go in life. I know I have.

Oprah stated this was the best sit down interview she has had.

Oprah's Mama Didn't Pay Her Bill

The words, "am I my brothers keeper" comes to mind on this story. When you are the mother of a famous, "billionaire", let me repeat "billionaire " you want to pay your bill. If you do not pay your bills you get sued and in the public eye. The last thing Oprah wanted to wake up and read was her mama didn't pay her clothing bill.

According to AP News, it appears a civil complaint says Vernita Lee of Milwaukee owed Valentina nearly $156,000 for purchases and interest as of July 1st and has failed to make the monthly minimum payment of $2,000.

Store attorney Joseph Niebler Sr. says his client tried to resolve the matter with Lee before filing the lawsuit in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Come on Oprah, lend your Mama the money. You know "Vernita" on a fixed income. She "fixing" to get some of your money to help her pay the bill.

Oprah disses Sarah Palin

Okay Oprah call it what you want, but the statement you made to the "Drudge Report," and I quote,

"The item in today's Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over."

Okay you made a decision NOT to use your show as a platform for any of the candidates but you had Barack Obama on your show. huh? Oprah is probably thinking Sarah Palin can go on Rush Limbaugh, but she ain't bringing herself on my show, gosh darnit. I mean check the video below, isn't it obvious that you would be bias if she came on your show.

Sarah Palin's agents better contact the women at "THE VIEW." She might get a better chance of getting on there.

Barack Obama has been on "Oprah" twice -- in January, 2005 and again in October, 2006 -- before he announced his run for Presidency.

Oprah Throws Party For U. S. Olympic Medalist

http://blogharbor.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/oprah-winfrey.jpg

Oprah Winfrey threw a rousing welcome home party for more than 150 U.S. Olympic medal winners on Wednesday (according to Reuters.com) that was a salute to the athletes and a pep rally for efforts to bring the 2016 summer games to America.

I think that was really nice. The United States team did so well in the Olympics. Swimmer Michael Phelps, who came back from last month's games in Beijing with a record eight gold medals, told Winfrey his feat had not sunk in but "I need to get back home" to Maryland to see friends and his pet bulldog.

I really enjoyed the swimming matches. Usually I am all in the track and field but this year I found myself watching some weird events (well not weird, but just different from what I usually watch).

I even watched ping pong and fencing. All in all it was a really good Olympics. I still think those Chinese gymnast were under age, but I guess only time will tell on that one.

Oprah Winfrey was inspired lately by reading Eckhart Tolle's book, " A New Earth". She stated,

Oprah chronicles her Vegan challenge in her blog , food and home.

South African Police Make Arrest At Oprah School

Well, an arrest has been made at the Oprah Winfrey School for the disadvantage girls in South Africa. Several charges including indecent assault, soliciting girls underage to perform indecent acts and abuse had been submitted.

I commend Oprah for organizing her own team of investigators to look into the allegations. This not only speeded up the process but let the girls know that she indeed cared. It is reported she has given the girls their own cell phones, with her personal number to contact her if they feel they are being victimized. Their is not a high fence around the facility as well.

Talk show host Oprah Winfrey has condemned the removal of an employee at her school in Johannesburg by child protection officers.

Professional investigators from both South Africa and the US arrived at the school to conduct an internal inquiry based on claims of misconduct by an unnamed staff member.

She says: "Nothing is more serious or devastating to me than an allegation of misconduct by an adult against any girl at the academy. I will do everything within my power to ensure their safety and well-being."
