Wright's Statements Still Weighing In on the Election
During his campaigning in North Carolina, Obama made is clear that Reverend Wright does not speak for him.
He was quoted as saying, "I have said before and I will repeat again that some of the comments that Rev. Wright have made offend me and I understand why they've offended the American people," Obama said in a brief airport tarmac press conference in Wilmington, N.C."
Obama did not mention Wright at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, where he spoke and took questions for about 80 minutes. In response to a question about his faith Obama spoke at length, but did not use it as an opening to say yet more about Wright.

Michael Jackson- In the Studio Again
Well, Mike is trying to get himself back in the limelight again (with everyone he owes this might be good strategy). He has reportedly hired Akon and Redone to produce his album. I think he should of gotten Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, if he watched the success of his sister (Janet) in the past.
This is why I encourage my children to finish college. It is nothing sadder than to watch people have no other talent but being and entertainer. (and you and I know you can't get a job at Macy's with that being the only thing on the application).
Mike has also reportedly banned his kids and women from the studio. I feel aside from banning his own kids, maybe he needs to ban other folks er...ahem...boy kids as well. I mean I am just saying.
Donna Summer-New Album
I was such a fan of Donna Summers in the late 70's and 80's. I was thrilled to read she is coming out with a new album. Good for her. The resurgence of older pop/r&b stars is what the industry needs. The name of the album is "Crayons."
Prince Plays Coachella Music Festival
Prince, who had been sought out to perform at Coachella since the festival was founded nine years ago, told the crowd that when he agreed to perform, he informed the organizers that he would not only play, but party too.
Myfoxnews reported, " Prince, complete with horn section, dancers and longtime collaborators Sheila E and Morris Day, took fans on a ride with "Little Red Corvette" and "1999." He also covered the Beatles' "Come Together" and closed with "Purple Rain" and "Let's Go Crazy."
I mean the collaboration he has had for years with Sheila E and Morris Day has just brought forth some phenomenal concerts.

Teen Pleads Guilty to intimidating Jena 6 Marchers
Federal authorities announced Friday that Jeremiah Munsen, 18, of Colfax, Louisiana, admitted that he placed two large nooses on his truck on September 20. He and several othersdrove repeatedly past a group of marchers gathered at a bus depot in Alexandria ( about 35 miles south of Jena), where the marches took place -- as they awaited buses to return them to Tennessee.

Sean Bell Trial-Cops Walk
Detective Gescard Isnora
Dectective Michael Oliver
Dectective Marc Cooper
I often think media coverage is based on consumer interest. Whatever is in one headline is what is hyped up or picked up by all the other. I say this because where is the outrage for he injustice that was done to Sean Bell? The three cops who killed Sean Bell on his wedding day in a 50-bullet barrage were cleared of all charges Friday - sparking tears inside the courtroom and anger on the streets outside.
A look back at the case - On November 25, 2006, Sean Bell, 23, was killed on his wedding day and his two buddies, Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield, were badly wounded when undercover cops fired 50 shots at Bell's car. None of the three was armed. It happened around the corner from the seedy Kalua Cabaret in Jamaica, Queens, where Bell had his bachelor party.
I know this area well. Growing up in Brooklyn, you had friends that were generally also from the Queens borough. This was not a fancy neighbohood, actually pretty poor.

Wright says Obama Responded as a Politician
Well, isn't that what Barack Obama is? People can be friends in life but not always share the same views. This is what messed up Jesse Jackson an Al Sharpton when they tried to run. They mixed church and political views. In my mind God can guide me to my destination, but I first got to find my own transportation.
The Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama's longtime pastor, said he isn't troubled by his onetime spiritual protégé's denunciation of his past remarks, calling the reaction part of politics.
``He's a politician, I'm a pastor. We speak to two difference audiences,'' Wright said in an interview with the PBS program ``Bill Moyers Journal'' scheduled to be broadcast tomorrow. ``I do what I do. He does what politicians do.''
The Illinois senator said in a speech last month that portions of Wright's sermons condemning the U.S. were ``not only wrong but divisive'' and presented a ``profoundly distorted view'' of the nation.Wright, 66, who called the reaction to his words ``unfair,'' said Obama ``responded as a politician'' when he gave his speech on Wright and race relations in Philadelphia.
My feelings are my pastor is to administer to my spiritual healing an awareness, not dictate my political belief.

Christopher Barrios
Please check out this video by JiaTv on YouTube on Christopher Barrios.
This little 6 year old boy was brutally raped and murdered by a convicted sex offender and his son. last year. The mom then masturbated while they were doing it. You know when will this end. Sex offenders have a disease. They need to feel that power, release. Why are we letting them out? Why is this registry not updated more often. I am so incensed. I remember hearing he was missing, but I completely missed reading about the tragic find of his remains.
Our "Just Us" system has to be overhauled, we are giving celebs 87 mins in jail for DUI's and not keeping these monsters that did this to this innocent boy locked up for life. I say let the punishment fit the crime, let them be raped everyday for he rest of their damn lives.
This makes no sense. God has received another angel. Rest in peace little Chris

This Video has Made Me Hate This Dance
Rest in Peace Al Wilson
Al Wilson, a soul singer who had a No. 1 Billboard hit with 1973's Show and Tell, has died at age 68.
Wilson died Monday of kidney failure at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Fontana, Calif., according to his son, Tony Wilson. In 1973, he issued the album Weighing In, which had crossover appeal and included the hit Show and Tell, formerly recorded by Johnny Mathis. This was the jam back in the day. I use to do the grind to that song (yeah I did that dance..lol). He wasn't a one hit wonder but he had his biggest hit with that song.

Hannity Points Obama as a Racist- Cites Million Man March
There were many members of the Black Caucus at the Million Man March (this also included Jeremiah Wright).
Obama's thoughts on the rally are revealed in the Chicago Reader article. Obama said quote, ‘what I saw was a powerful demonstration of an impulse and need for African-American men to come together to recognize each other and affirm our rightful place in the society. But what was lacking among march organizers was a positive agenda, a coherent agenda for change. Without this agenda a lot of this energy is going to dissipate. Exhortations are not enough, nor are the notions that we can create a black economy within America that is… sealed from the rest of the economy and seriously tackle the major issues confronting us.'" So Obama had not just distanced himself from Farrakhan but had also expressly rejected his tactics.
Now, Hannity did not say how these comments made Obama a racist. I didn't see anywhere in there where he was condoning some of the statements that Farrakhan made in the past towards White America.

False Abuse Claim :Reason For Polygimist Raid
Texas Rangers are pursuing Rozita Swinton of Colorado as a “person of interest” regarding telephone calls related to the polygamist compound in Eldorado, Texas. It appears
"Texas Child Protective Services says it launched a raid on the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints compound earlier in April after receiving an alleged anonymous tip from a 16-year-old girl named "Sarah" who said she was being abused by her 49-year-old husband."
The Colorado Springs police confirmed that on Wednesday they arrested Swinton, 33, at her home.

Gospel Music Channel-Growing Fast
The Gospel music Channel is one of the fastest growing channels Nationwide. It is now available in some 40 million homes, more than a third of the nation. The Gospel Music Channel plays the gospel sounds of black churches, edgy Christian rock and rap, mainstream contemporary Christian pop and even Latin gospel music.
Charlie Humbard ( His dad was Rex Humbard) is a former executive at Discovery, where he worked on networks passionately devoted to particular interests such as health and aviation. He joined with a former Turner executive, Brad Siegel, to begin the Gospel Music Channel.
I use to watch Bet Gospel, however I see where mainstreaming Gospel Music would allow it to reach a larger viewing audience.

Foxy Brown Out of Prison and Saved
"Yes, I've made some bad choices and stupid mistakes. But please understand that sitting in a prison with murderers and criminals is not rehabilitating or what I need to deal with my inner issues," Brown wrote in a four-page handwritten letter to Judge Melissa Jackson.
Okay, I Guess I Gotta Brush That Dirt Off My Shoulder
This 21st debate on the 16th of April was not really an eventful situation (rather boring really), but the AFTERPARTY was amazing. The after party meaning the townhall meeting the next day in Raleigh North Carolina. Their Obama summarized the night before and did his classic, "Jay Z" move. You know, " take that dirt off my shoulder move. " I am saying people across America are doing the "wave off."

StarJones- Dwyane Wade?
(no he is not "sweet.")(wink* wink*)
Anyway rumors abound that Star Jones Reynolds has been spending a lot of time with Dwyane Wade. They were at the Sony Ericsson open this weekend, watching Serena Williams defeat Jelena Jankovic in the women's finals.
Mia Farrow Complains about Dafur Treatment
U.S. actress Mia Farrow on Wednesday accused the International Olympic Committee of ignoring China's support for Sudan, which the United States and humanitarian groups say has been waging genocide in Darfur.
She accuses he International Olympic Committee of having no plans now or in the future to encourage an Olympic Truce in Darfur. The truce, which dates from ancient times, calls for a month of peace around the Games.
Ms Farrow, who heads a group called, "Dream for Darfur," where they want Beijing's to pressure China to continue support for the Sudan and call attention to the obvious Genocide there. So far the committee has not made any statements about what is going on in the Sudan and its effects on Human Rights.
DNA Sets Him Free
We are hearing so many of these stories. After spending nearly 23 years in prison for a rape he did not commit, Thomas Clifford McGowan on Wednesday heard the words that set him free.
He always stated that he did not rape a Dallas woman and then burgalarize her apartment. Thomas McGowan 49, has had 23 years of his life taken away, due to a lie. I know that there are so many men and women in our prison systems today that have gone through the same thing. McGowan the 17th Dallas man since 2001 to have his conviction cast aside because of DNA testing.

Man plans to sell Phony Crack to Seniors
Okay, how low can you go when you have to sell crack to the old folks? Well Hillmon Arnold went that low. He tried to sell crack cocaine to residents of a Jacksonville senior citizens home. It is speculated that he used "Arnold Brick Oven White," as crack cocaine to the duped citizens.
He stated he was just trying to supply his own marijuana addiction.
Those folks must have Alzheimer's or something. I have never even seen cocaine, but how can you mistake bread for cocaine. For more of he story click here.
New Black News Network
Washington D.C.-based Black Television News Channel (BTNC) announced Tuesday it has reached a multi-year carriage agreement with Comcast Cable for distribution in several of the MSO’s urban-based systems beginning in 2009. I think it is high time we get a "real" black news channel. Black Entertainment Television and TV One both offer news brief throughout the day. They however do not have an ongoing news program for the African American Community.
Many people claim this is not necessary, but there are several Asian and Latino communities who have launched successful news stations. There is the usual cry of "why the blacks need their own news." why they can't just watch regular news. I have never heard anyone tell "telemundo" that there should not be a Latino Station. Culturally I feel that it is a necessity to know what is happening from a community base.
The network, created by former U.S. congressman J.C. Watts Jr., will launch in 2009 and will provide original news programming with a distinctively African-American perspective, according to a network press release. The network would be the first cable service to offer 24-hour news targeted to African-Americans
Representing Ohio's Finest
I believe by now everyone might of heard about the Ohio Patrol Trooper who snapped a photograph of a fellow trooper in a KKK outfit. The Picture was snapped with a cell phone the day before Martin Luther King Jr's birthday.
Troopers Eric E. Wlodarsky and Craig T. Franklin, who were both on duty at the time, told an investigator the picture was taken as joke and modeled after a skit by comedian Dave Chappelle.
I didn't know they were hiring comedians to work for the police department. Dave Chappelle "IS"a comedian. Wlodarsky, who snapped the photo, and Franklin, who dressed up in the racist garb, were both recommended for termination but were allowed to retain their jobs because of a collective bargaining agreement.
