Edwards gone-So what is the strategy?
"It is appropriate that I come here today. It's time for me to step aside so that history can blaze its path. We do not know who will take the final steps to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but what we do know is that our Democratic Party will make history. We will be strong, we will be unified, and with our convictions and a little backbone we will take back the White House in November and we'll create hope and opportunity for this country."
These are some of the parting words that John Edwards left us with today. He announced his departure the same place he where he began his candidacy 2 years ago. Meanwhile at an Obama campaign rally in Denver, Mr. Obama praised the commitment Mr. Edwards has given to poverty in America and his call to bridge the gap between rich and poor. More than 10,000 people in a basketball arena, as well as an overflow crowd of several thousand more, gave Mr. Edwards a standing ovation.
So what does this mean for the democratic election? I think it was always a two person candidacy. I liked John Edwards, but he was one to always sit in the background. I really think he needed to be more agressive in this election. Edwards had some wonderful ideas as well for this country, however controversy overshadowed his position in the election.
So what now for John?

Ted Kennedy Endorses O'Bama
I think this is a bigger boost to his campaign then Oprah's endorsement. Sadly because the other half of the family endorses Clinton, I feel it will cause a minor rift.
Whose Butt and Legs are These?
Kenya Death Toll Continues to Rise
The death toll in Kenya continued to rise on Sunday as at least 20 more people were burned and hacked to death as members of incumbent President Mwai Kibaki’s Kikuyu tribe clashed with Luos, who are supporters of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Machete-wielding mobs faced off in Kenya's Rift Valley on Monday and the death toll climbed to nearly 100 people in the latest bout of ethnic violence touched off by a disputed election. The tit-for-tat violence complicated the task of former U.N. chief Kofi Annan, who has asked both sides to name teams to negotiate an end to the electoral crisis that has laid bare the tribal undercurrents of Kenya's politics. In the normally peaceful Rift Valley town of Nakuru
The violence since Kenya's December 27 election has taken on a momentum of its own, with cycles of killing and revenge between tribes who have never reconciled divisions left by colonial policy, and exacerbated by politicians.
This is sad to see unfold, as we know war never solves anything. I always say that America is so fortunate in the fact that political opposition does not garner killings and war. If you say you are a democrat to a republican you do not get your head chopped off.

HBCU Aide Arrested, Accused of Theft
This is such sad news to read that at Florida A&M University has been arrested on charges she stole $55,344 from the campus, a university spokesman stated. She was arrested the morning of January 23, 2008, on charges of grand theft.
Officials said that investigators had been looking into cash management problems at the university’s Pharmacy Clinics.
Coverson, an administrative assistant and an employee for nearly five years, was identified as being responsible for the alleged discrepancies that resulted in unaccounted cash and checks of $55,344. This matter was subsequently referred to the FAMU Police Department. The University has begun the process of terminating Coverson's employment.

Obama, Yo Mama!!
Barack O'Bama did his thing in South Carolina. Barack Obama routed Hillary Rodham Clinton in the racially charged South Carolina primary Saturday night, regaining campaign momentum in the prelude to a Feb. 5 coast-to-coast competition for more than 1,600 Democratic National Convention delegates.
Barack Obama won by a landslide in South Carolina tonight, moving into a strong position ahead of the Democrats' multi-state contest on February 5.
With more than 95% of the results in, Obama far exceeded expectations, taking twice as many votes as Hillary Clinton, 55% to 26%. It was the first primary when the winner has gotten more than 50% of the vote.
Obama "We won in Iowa, that's 94 per cent white," he said on Saturday, and "practically tied" with Clinton in New Hampshire. He is optimistic for the coming primaries.
Well, I hope that the next round of debates will be less personal and focus more on the issues. This race should not be about color but about who is going to best represent the country

Oscar Nominations- American Gangster A No
Well, the Oscar Nominations are in. It seems that garnering millions and millions in a box office opening is not enough to get you an Oscar Nod. “American Gangster,” the Ridley Scott epic starring Denzel Washington as a Harlem heroin kingpin, received attention in only two categories: best supporting actress (for the veteran Ruby Dee) and art direction.
I might add that the movies that were nominated for best picture, I only saw one of them. Juno. Which I hope wins. It was an excellent movie. “There Will Be Blood,” “No Country for Old Men” and “Michael Clayton” lead the nominations, including the best picture category.
It is about time Ruby Dee is recognized though. Such a wonderful actress.
Shirley Chisolm
Shirley Anita St. Hill Chisolm was born in Brooklyn, New York November 30, 1924. Her mother was Barbadian and her father was Guyanese. She stepped into the spotlight in 1964 when she was elected to the New York State Legislature. In 1968 she defeated James Farmer and became the first African-American woman elected to Congress.
In 1969 Shirley became one of the founding members of the Congressional Black Caucus. She became the first African American woman to make a bid for the Democratic Party's Presidential nomination. She received 152 delegate votes. She however lost to South Dakota's George McGovern. Her support was not just from African American voters, but actually very diverse. One noted group that supported her was the National Organization for Women. Chisholm said she ran for the office "in spite of hopeless odds, . . . to demonstrate the sheer will and refusal to accept the status quo."
Chisholm retired to Florida and died on January 1, 2005. She is buried in Forest Lawn CemeteryFebruary 2005
I know many people talk about Obama, like he was the first black to ever run for President, but lets not forget Shirley Chisholm who felt she could make a change for many in America who did not have a political voice in the system at the time. in Buffalo, NY. In

Lil Wayne Arrested in Yuma
According to the Kpho News in Arizona, - Rapper Lil Wayne was arrested on three felony drug charges early Wednesday after federal agents said they found illegal drugs including cocaine on his charter bus at a checkpoint in southwestern Arizona.
What is wrong with these stars? or should I say, " people who need guidance in their lives?"

Kwame Kilpatrick accused of Romantic Text Messaging
In a story on its Web site Wednesday night, the Fox newspaper quotes from exchanges between Kilpatrick and chief of staff Christine Beatty. Kilpatrick issued a statement Wednesday night saying the messages "reflect a very difficult period in my personal life."
Last summer, Kilpatrick and Beatty testified in a police whistleblower lawsuit and denied any sexual or romantic ties in 2002-03. Kilpatrick is married, and Beatty was married at the time
Police found evidence to the country. Examples are as follows:
"I'm madly in love with you," Kilpatrick wrote on Oct. 3, 2002.
"I hope you feel that way for a long time," Beatty replied. "In case you haven't noticed, I am madly in love with you, too!"
Well, I suggest Beatty and Kilpatrick get some good attorneys, conviction of lying under oath could bring up to 15 years in prisonSource: FoxNews

White Supremacist Protest in Jena Louisiana
Associated Press reports that sbout 50 white supremacists showed up Monday, with 27 marching to the high school and back before the speeches began. This of course was a far cry from the hundreds that showed up in support of the six teens arrested and given extensive sentences.
Nearly all the demonstrators and the counter-demonstrators appeared to be from outside of Jena.
They called for the holiday to be abolished and demanded harsh justice for the, "Jena 6"
I have to say this, it is sad in the 21st century that we have ANY separatist groups, White, Black, Asian, whatever. I have said it time and time again. It should not have to take a situation like 9/11 to bring America together.
In 1970 we had young boys fighting for this country, only to come back labeled as "baby killers" and other such names. I had family members that fought in the Vietnam War. They were in foxholes and trenches with all ethnic makeup of people. Their main goal was to simply survive. Some did, some did not.
So when I read these type of stories I get sad, because to represent ignorance and hatred on a day that was set aside to celebrate tolerance.

Can't King Get One Night?
Sleeping? You know they the press gonna hound you like Britney Spears on Crack.
Bill, didn't Hillary give you the No Doze dude..
tsk tsk...
Barack Obama-Hilary Clinton- A bit testy ?
Well, it was kinda depressing to see the Democratic debate on Monday. A day that was a National Holiday for a man who tried to bring unity, Dr. Martin Luther King. Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator Barack Obama trade barbs back and forth throughout the whole debate.
Clinton accused Obama of consorting with slum lords and praising Republican Presiden Ronald Reagan. Obama countered with the fact that Bill Clinton (former President) had distorted his record and he felt that he was running against not one, but both Clintons.
He was quoted as saying, " I can't tell who I am running against sometimes."
Poor John Edwards tried to get some attention, but often times he just kinda watched.
In front of a mostly black audience, the one issue that didn't really come up during the debate, held on the national holiday honoring the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., was race.
The sad thing is that I am sure many people tuned out of this debate, missing probably some key issues that would of helped them in making a decision which politician would best fit the office.
I hope in the coming primaries that both Hillary and Obama get back on track an that is to let us know what you can do for America.

Bob Johnson having Hoof in Foot Disease
Hilary Clinton, still fresh on defensive stance she had over comments that she and her husband made regarding Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy and Obama's fitness for the White House, tried to turn the tables on her top primary rival. She then accused his campaign press of looking to score political points by distorting their words she stated.
Hilary stated that she hoped this campaign can get past questions of race. Sadly, she messed up and allowed Bob Johnson (whom some of us target as sellout) the founder of Black Entertainment Television to speak on her campaign trail.
He was quoted as saying, "To me, as an African-American, I am frankly insulted the Obama campaign would imply that we are so stupid that we would think Hillary and Bill Clinton, who have been deeply and emotionally involved in black issues - when Barack Obama was doing something in the neighborhood; I won't say what he was doing, but he said it in his book - when they have been involved," Johnson said.
Obama mentioned in his book, "Dreams From My Father," that he had used illegal substances in his past. (and he did admit to inhaling.) Now in my mind if were to realistically bash everyone in the political arena (from George Washington to Dubya) that we would not have had ANY political leaders in office if alcohol or drug use was an issue.
Johnson later clarified his statements by saying, "tat his comments referred to Obama's work as a community organizer in Chicago "and nothing else. Any other suggestion is simply irresponsible and incorrect."

Wesley Snipes= Come On Man, Pay Your Taxes Dude
Now you know, that I know, that you know, that if YOU or I did not pay our taxes from 1999, we would be in jail by now. What is up with the IRS (Ignorant Revenue Service), treating celebrities like they are so special. I know folks wages garnished for years, due to back taxes. The "Gubment" don't play.
According to The New York Times, Snipes has not paid one dime from 1999 to 2004. Well, why should he, he is only making $38 million. Duh!! Why should he pay. I think he should get his lawyers to show all the other celebs out there.
Now get this Wesley Snipes (according to thesmokinggun.com) this is what he filed in those years.
He claims that due to his connection with Africa and a host of other crazy reasons that this why he cannot file. (click here for reasons)

New York Sex Tape
Okay, why New York (Tiffany Pollard) is so stupid? I guess this was her "cameo" appearance before her other "cameo" in First Sunday. I looked at the video, click here and it sure looked like her. MediaTakeOut.Com, sure has some willing viewers of their site to help them out. They seem to be always sending them stuff all the time.
Well, I guess this is one way making it to the top (tongue in cheek). Hmmm...that "SHO NUFF" don't look like Tailor Made to me though.
George Weisberger, aka "Tailor Made" must be feel like the stupidest man on earth. Although some men love their woman to dominate them. I kinda like a man that can stand up for for me. I'm just saying.

Horror in Washington D.C.-4 deaths
Banita Jacks 33, was found in her home last week with the decomposing bodies of her 4 daughers. She claimed they had all been possessed by demons and died in their sleep. What investigators found was these children had been dead for at least 2 weeks.
The bodies of the girls, aged from five to 17, were found on Wednesday when deputy US marshals served an eviction notice at Jacks’ apartment in south-east Washington.
What upsets me about the above story is that how could school officials not know that these kids were not at school. I remember (and it wasn't that long ago) where if my kids missed 5 days of school consecutively that I received a phone call. Maybe things have changed.
The charging documents identify the children as Brittany Jacks, 17, Tatianna Jacks, 11, N’Kiah Fogle, six, and Aja Fogle, five.
Reports today indicated the bodies were so decomposed that they have to call in the Smithsonian to do the autopsies. Initally though stab wounds were noticed, as well as preliminary autopsies that found asphixiation to be in play as well.
More troubling is this family had been under investigation from Child Protective Services in D.C. They claimed they never did a follow up because they thought the family had relocated to Maryland.
What is happening to our kids? I was shocked to read in the newspaper that at one time one of the girls was missing from school for 30 days....wow...30 days and no one called the home or anything?
This is such a tragedy.

Dang O.J. ....
Well, O.J. (bless his heart) can't stay out the news huh? Simpson was freed on September 19 on 125,000 dollars bail . This following his arrest after he and his friends burst into a Las Vegas hotel room and robbing two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint. Now O.J. Simpson is to face a judge next week to answer allegations that he broke the terms of his bail.
Apparently Simpson called on on his co-defendants in the case. This is in contravention of his bail conditions. He called, "Clarence Stewart," and was frustrated by some of his testimony at the preliminaries.
He and the two other men are scheduled to stand trial on April 7. If I was O.J. (an had the opportunity to be out on bail), I would make the court even forget I exist until it is time to stand charges. Unfortunately, that is not O.J. So yesterday he gets arrested. Johnny Cochran just rolling around in his grave.

Vivica deflating and sex tape?
Wow, what did the witch in the Wizard of Oz say..."I'm Melting, Melting"
Source: Bad Plastic Surgery
On another related or unrelated (according to how you look at it), Vivica denies their is a sex tape. I am just saying if your career on slow mo, you might WANT a sex tape. A rep for the 41-year-old actress denied the wild internet rumor that has run rampant over the past several. "It is not true," Fox's attorney, Lita Richardson, told AOL Black Voices.
The story first broke on SandraRose.com (who Vivica's folks are claiming she is trying to be the next Wendy Williams).
Well, today Vivica allegedly was in the tape, an apparently inebriated Vivica can be seen on her knees servicing a male friend who surreptitiously taped the encounter on his cell phone.
Well, the tape if there is one probably will surface. I hope it isn't true we have people too happy to make other people's lives sad for their own monetary gain or rise in their own supposedly celebrity status
Teacher Settles Racial Lawsuit out of Court
The settlement ends a three-year legal fight between the district and Elizabeth Kandrac, who said she was forced to work in a racially hostile environment at predominantly black Brentwood Middle School in North Charleston.
Recently brought to public attention on the The O'Reilly Factor (I have to say I hate Bill O' Reily though, what an a-hole) was the story of Elizabeth Kandrac's lawsuit of Brentwood Middle School, a small Charleston County, South Carolina school with a population of about 472 students. You know every time I read or hear about certain injustices or prejudices in this country, I reflect on those who state that people are usually just whining and complaining and their is really a lot of change (I guess he who feels it can tell you different huh?)
Miss Kandrac claims ," I was subjected to all kinds of cursing - things were thrown at me, including desks and books. I reported it, but my principal said this is their culture, this is how they are, and if you don't like cursing this isn't the school for you."
I might add this is a white teacher and the "this is their culture" statement was referring to her predominately black classroom. Since when do we condone this type of behavior towards our educators. This makes me mad. The problem in this modern era is that we have lost all sense of civility in the United States.
...and the THIS IS PART OF THEIR CULTURE COMMENT...hmmm...I "know" I can't type what I REALLY want to say on that stupid remark
Miss Kandrac was awarded 300.000 settlement against the school district. I know some wonderful teachers out there and for a school district to ignore what was happening in this classroom is appalling.
Marion Jones Crashes Hard-6 months
Marion Jones received the decison she was waiting on today. Federal Judge Kenneth M. Karas sentenced the disgraced gold medalist to six months in prison and two years of supervised release Friday.
This Sentence was the final judgement for a woman who was on top of the athletic circle. A shining Olympian, who with some bad decisons lost 3 gold medals, and two bronze medals.
The judge also admonished her for letting down the many children who had looked up to her as their hero. The judge was quoted as saying, ""Athletes in society have an elevated status," the judge said before imposing sentence. "They entertain. They inspire. And perhaps most importantly," they serve "as role models for children around the world."
I don't personally think we need to have our children look up to athletes or celebrities as role models, because in a perfect world the parents would fit that build. I do know that children are impressionable (having been one myself). I think the jail sentencing was just a reinforcement that society is not as forgiving as it has been in the past. (remember a man named PETE ROSE? or more recently Kobe Bryant?)
It was also stated she had knowledge of a check writing scam as well. I don't know if I feel sorry for Marion, but I she will have time to reflect on her actions even more now.

John Kerry Endorses Barack Obama
Barack Obama is being endorsed by fellow Sen. John Kerry, the Democrats' 2004 presidential nominee who lost to George W. Bush that year and gave up his own plans for a 2008 run a year ago. Besides any potential help for Obama, Thursday's endorsement was a slap at Edwards, who was Kerry's running mate in the last election. I think people know it is a time for a change.
Kerry's endorsement also was a jab at Clinton, the New York Democrat who won the New Hampshire primary after a loss to Obama in the Iowa caucuses. I don't know if it is a matter of him being vindictive, however I do knot that it was an added boost for the Obama campaign. I am so happy to see a candidate campaigning on issues and not on race. Especially since that was what people expected him to do, similar to Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton.
He said that he believes "more than anyone else, Barack Obama can help our country turn the page and get America moving by uniting and ending the division we have faced."
The state is set to hold its Democratic primary on Jan. 26 as the next bid test on Obama and Clinton, who has won Iowa and New Hampshire, respectively. Another rival John Edwards is also expecting a boost of support in the neighbor state of his hometown.
Congrats to Monica on her Baby Boy
Congrats to Monica on her new baby boy, Romello Montez, weighing 5 lbs 6 ozs 19inches. Monica an baby are doing fine. The baby was born January 8th. This is the second child for Monica with her boyfriend Rodney Hill.
I have to say this, because it seems to be the norm nowadadys. What happened to people getting married and then having loads of kids.

Crocidile Tears Pay Off-Hillary Clinton
Well, Hillary's Crocodile tears won out in the New Hampshire Primary.
Hillary Clinton won the New Hampshire Democratic presidential primary Tuesday, edging out rival Barack Obama by a few points even after the campaign itself had been girding for a second consecutive defeat earlier in the day. Democratic race was too close to call for hours, as Clinton held a narrow lead over Obama despite exit polls and pundits’ predictions that called this as Obama’s race.
People so excited about the results of the Democratic race, they forgot to print at the same time that McCain won his race. Damn. Even though Hillary won this portion of the primaries, sadly it is not a CLEAR win for her.Obama was very gracious in his speech conceding defeat. “There’s something happening when people vote, not just for the party that they belong to, but the hopes that they hold in common. And whether we are rich or poor, black or white, Latino or Asian, whether we are from Iowa or New Hampshire … we are ready to fundamentally take this nation in a new direction,” he said as the crowd chanted “We want change, we want change.”
....and IRIEGAL CAN SMELL A CHANGE A COMING! Barack will get BACK on TRACK!!
Football Player and Wife Charged In Ex Death
Pernell Clayton Thompson, 20, and Yolanda Dee Thompson, 19, were being held Monday at the Union County jail, accused of killing 16-year-old Marisha Jeter, authorities said. It seemed, according to local police, that Thompson's wife did not like him maintaining contact with Jeter. The Thompsons were married in the summer and have a child together.
Okay, he is 20 years old. Why would his wife , who was 19, worry about someone who probably just reached the 11th grade?
Jealousy is a bad thing. It can and sometimes does lead to death.

Controversial Comments Towards Tiger Woods
I think sometimes folks get too happy on interviews. Such was the case of golfer Kelly Tighman. She stated on the Golf Channel last Friday that Tilghman, who never played on the LPGA Tour, said golf's young players should "lynch Tiger Woods in a back alley."
Tilghman is a former Blue Devil golfer (what is it with the Duke teams anyways...sigh). She co-hosted the channel last week during the Mercedes Benz Championship.
Tiger doesn't claim his black side though so I don't even know why folks would make a big deal about what she said. She is of course showing her ignorance (in my opinion ) by that comment.
At minimum,She should at least face a suspension. Some will surely call for a firing.

San Francisco's Dirty Secret
Hidden in SanFrancisco's Visitacion Valley is an area known as Sunnydale. An area riddled with unbelievable crime. One of the city's poorest and most volatile neighborhoods. When one talks of Vis Valley an Bay-View Hunter's point, it can only be compared to some neighborhoods in the Cabrini Greens section of Chicago, or the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn N.Y.
Sunnydale, is a lot of ways, is the core of what you could call Forgotten San Francisco. It's distant. Situated on the extreme southeast edge of the city, near the Cow Palace, the decrepit micro-neighborhood is a long bus ride from anywhere. It's poor. According to San Francisco Housing Authority figures, the average annual income in public housing is $11,601. The bulk of the population is African American.
People live here, amid subsidized housing apartment and then they die here. Often times very violent deaths.
Mention Sunnydale to white folks and half the time they'll think you're talking about Sunnyvale,San Francisco Chronicle covers the area, a chunk of Visitacion Valley, is when someone gets murdered – and even on that front, Sunnydale seems to get far less ink than Bayview-Hunters Point, even though it's nearly as brutal. a Silicon Valley town 38 miles down the peninsula. Suffice it to say that the only time the
Last year and estimated 88 murders were committed in the area. Keith, "Kilo" Perry who has a barbershop in the area knows how well these rough streets can claim lives. He has on his wall a poster of 20 men who were killed in the area. No ordinary barbershop picture.

T.I. Becoming a Dad again.
Well i guess I would be popping those little ones out as well. I mean I am just saying. He is facing some serious jail time. I don't see him popping out no ring though.
The politically incorrect MediaTakeout.com reported that the mom, Tameka Cottle aka as "Tiny" stated on her myspace she is indeed pregnant and it is a boy. Well, that is one way to keep the bankroll moving. T.I. who is currently on house arrest had no comment.Tiny is out on bail facing charges for ecstasy and marijuana use and possession.
Atlanta Courthouse Shooter aborted Breakout
He bribed his pen pal girlfriend, two sheriff deputies and his paralegal to be his accomplice.
Nicohols is best remembered for the courthouse shooting on March 11, 2005. This shooting left 4 people dead. He was charged with killing the judge presiding over his rape trial, a court reporter, a sheriff's deputy who chased him outside, and a federal agent he encountered a few miles away.

Obama is in the HOUSE!!-Are You Ready?
Hillary must be pissed off more than a Mofo. This was a record turn out for the Democrats, however the even the Conservatives want a change. Sometimes if you keep doing something and getting the same results that makes you the fool. If you try something different at least you can say you tried something different.
What messed Hillary up was Imelda Marcos and them damn shoes.
Family Arrested Due to Son wearing Saggy Pants
Yes this is true, in Palm Beach, Florida a family of six were arrested due to a melee that cops stated were prompted by sagging pants.
A sheriff's report released Monday suggests the number of patrol cars on hand to arrest members of the Leger family could have topped 30. A police helicopter and at least two canine units also were present, according to eyewitness accounts. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office continued to defend it's show of force.
Acccording to the Palm Beach Post, Capt Greg Ritcher stated, "Officers do respond, and they respond in mass," "It's always better to have more officers than you need." According to the reports, deputies arrested 20-year-old Frantz Leger, a Florida State University business sophomore, without a disturbance after a security guard recognized him in the mall's food court around 7 p.m. and notified deputies."The reason he was trespassed the first time was because of his behavior when he was asked to raise his pants," mall spokeswoman Rachelle Crain said. Sheriff's officials initially said it was for the low-riding pants.
Less than a half hour later, though, she backtracked on that statement. "I really don't have all that info," Crain said. " I'm really not able to speak accurately to that. I really don't have that documentation. Anything I would tell you would be my opinion." The mall now is declining further comment and instead referring the media to the sheriff's office. Elsewhere, in places like Louisiana and New Jersey, local officials have not been shy about barring and criminalizing sagging pants. Opelousas, La. declared it a misdemeanor to wear pants too low. Violators face a $500 fine and possibly jail time. Riviera Beach Mayor Thomas Masters also is collecting signatures to end the practice there.
The head of Mall Security, Rachelle Crain states, ""Wear what you want to wear, but be respectful of other people as well," Viera said. "Come on, I have a 4-year-old daughter. I don't want to see that."He went on to say, "Wellington is predominantly wealthy people, and wealthy people don't want to see it,"
Barack Obama- upset?
Well, it is beginning to look like "Christmas" (all over again) for Barack Obama. Obama, who if elected would become the first African-American president, has put himself in the running to win today's caucuses by stressing his willingness to reach across political divides and calling for an end to partisan vitriol.
One of the things I like about Obama is he has not polarized the the politcal arena. This was done by both Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. He has managed to state his platform clearly and without a separatist mentality.
I remember when Tiger Woods first entered into the golf arena, as a viable contender. It seemed that many felt Tiger would "bring in all the ghetto influence" and the golf course and country clubs would be turned into a "crips or bloods" hangout. They were so concerned about that they forgot to notice the man could "really" play.
I feel the same thing with Barack Obama. SO MANY are focused on his skin color that they have not taken the time to listen to what his is really saying. What he is proposing for America. American boasts of its diversity, but in the hundreds of years of political rule not once has the "good ole boys" thought allowing one of its DIVERSE members to run successfully as a political candidate...UNTIL NOW.
Sadly he has been stated to show rejection of racial politics has, however, stirred dissatisfaction among some old-guard civil rights leaders, including Jackson, who in November accused Obama of not emphasizing enough "the plight of African-Americans."
I for one like the fact he has NOT done that. This is not a BLACK AND WHITE race, this is a RACE to determine who is fit to run this country. He is not representing BLACK AMERICA, he is representing AMERICA. Hilary is not representing FEMALES, she is representing AMERICA. I feel this would make a real advancement for this country if EITHER of them won.
Just my opinions.
Eddie Murphy's Island Wedding
Eddie Murphy has married recent girlfriiend, Tracey Edmond. The pair exchanged vows Tuesday on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia in front of a small group of family and friends, their representatives told People magazine. One good thing is Tracey has her own money. Many people do not remember that she use to represent Envouge, TLC, (of course come to think of it they both claimed bankruptcy and she was named as ripping them off.)
I like Eddie, but since Dream Girls what has he done. I just have a problem when a man denies his own child (the Mel B scandal).
